Hey and welcome to my design blog. This is a place for me to collect and share beautiful work that inspires me; mostly interior styling and photography but there are no rules here so you can expect anything. Happy reading!
I've been dreaming about having these floors for many years now. Our new (old) house is on the the horizon - so my dream is getting closer. Upstairs? Downstairs? Both floors? Not sure - I need to live in it for a while first. Even if it does mean living with 70's decor for a while.
I'd like to extend a huge welcome to mói as my latest sponsor. They're an Icelandic kids fashion brand who's inspiration comes from all things nature. Their products are responsible, ethical and organic (goes without saying from such a fantastic brand), their pieces mix and match beautifully and can be used by boys and girls.
"Coming form the land of ice and fire, mói proudly launches their spring summer collection for 2017. Known for their raven prints, mói now approaches their core ethnic relationship with nature by embracing the colours of the Icelandic wilderness"
I've been using mói clothes for Felix for around a year now (so way before this collaboration) and let me tell you they are absolutely fantastic. The quality is amazing (seriously you can wash a million times and they won't lose their colour or shape - at all!) and I love the designs. I am genuinely excited that they have come onboard here as a sponsor.
I never tire of the old Swedish apartments with pale boards and white walls. They are specifically what first inspired me back in the day when I started blogging and despite the new styles and darker colours, there is still something very special about this quintessential Swedish look.
So I've always been a monochrome / natural tones kinda gal, but lately I think I my tastes are changing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not going to start raving about bright colours, BUT I do love some of these beautiful muted colours that are around right now. I'm totally into my nudes, browns, greens and blues....
I guess it's inevitable. Fashion and styles change and also our opinions (on everything) change and / or become more confident as we get older. It's a good thing. What are your thoughts on colour?
I’d like to introduce you to a lovely new
sponsor of mine. Zigzag and Zebra are the go-to store for all things fun,
beautiful and creative for kids. They feature tons of Scandi brands and offer
beautiful textile toys as well as classic wooden stuff.
Something to really look out for is the
lovely prints (see below - they have a huge collection) and please do visit their baby gift section (some shown above); you will never need to go anywhere else for that perfect present.
